The Story :

In May 2003 a query came into the office from a client that had private funding for their home, but needed advice on options to exit and refinance their loan that was double the average standard variable interest rate. They had previously been to see major lenders, but were advised they were not eligible for finance because of their poor credit rating.

This situation had them in severe financial difficulty and at risk of losing their home. At times like this, high levels of uncertainty and stress are present and it takes a special empathic understanding and clear mind to perform as an effective Loan Consultant.

Acquired's Consultant did just that, they visited the client with an open mind. The Consultant comforted them in their distress and indicated their commitment to getting them approved with a mainstream lender.

An application form was completed with comprehensive supporting documentation. Through the Consultants business relationship with a business development manager at a major bank, they were able to create a compelling argument detailing the client's situation - such that the bank reconsidered and approved the application at a standard variable rate.

Clearly, this result removed a substantial financial burden for the client and gave them the outcome they were seeking. As a result of developing a strong relationship with the client through Acquired's Consultant, the client developed a high level of trust in Acquired. Subsequently the client has taken out additional funds to renovate and up-date their property with the help of Acquired. We developed a debt reduction program for them (resulting in securing the additional funds) and they have become strong advocates, providing ACQUIRED with several referrals.
